OUR STORY

Jemmett Consulting and Research Farm operates as a subsidiary of J&S Farms Inc., a family-
owned and managed enterprise that has been in operation for three generations. The current
ownership and management team comprises Eric, Brian, Jarom, and Michael Jemmett. Our
farms are situated in southwestern Idaho, at the confluence of the Boise and Snake rivers,
specifically in the town of Parma. This region is distinguished as one of the premier seed-
producing areas within the United States.
At Jemmett Consulting and Research Farm, we engage in the cultivation of a diverse array of
crops, which include onions, potatoes, field corn, corn seed, carrot seed, sugar beets, dry bean
seed, winter wheat, winter wheat seed, and mint.
Jemmett Research was established by Eric Jemmett in 2006, our farm is dedicated to
conducting extensive research and trial work across a wide range of crops. We have successfully
implemented trials involving fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, biological agents, and fertility
in the following crops:
- Onions
- Sugar beets
- Alfalfa and hay
- Potatoes
- Dry beans
- Pasture and rangeland
- Corn and corn seed
- Winter and spring wheat
- Soybeans
- Carrot seed
